Every year Highland Community College in Kansas holds an awards assembly where they showcase a student from each academic program for going above and beyond – a Student of the Year.
This week at the assembly, instructor Carrie Miller awarded Administrative Assistant student Jacklynn Clary with the Student of the Year Award. One of the contributing factors for Jacklynn’s recognition was that she was their first student to pass all of the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) exams and became and MOS Master.
The state of Kansas has partnered with Certiport and Microsoft to offer the Microsoft Imagine Academy to students all over the state. Carrie Miller took advantage of the partnership to bring MOS to Highland Community College and as a result her students had a 100% pass rate in PowerPoint and 99% in Word in the Fall semester. This semester they are working towards Excel and Access certification. Keep up the great work!
