Over the past few years, Certiport has built a strong, partner-focused business model and developed the world’s largest testing distribution network. We have provided the leading foundational level certification programs from the biggest names in the industry such as Microsoft, HP and Adobe, and today we deliver more than two million exams across 150 countries annually.

The industry took notice of our hard work and success, and I am proud to announce that Certiport has been acquired by Pearson VUE. Pearson VUE is a leader in computer-based testing for information technology, government and professional testing programs around the world. As Certiport and Pearson VUE join forces, we will offer the most robust, end-to-end professional learning and assessment solutions across the globe.

Pearson VUE CEO Bob Whelan told me he was impressed with Certiport’s growth, employees, clients, and partners. As a CEO myself, acquisition by a top-notch company like Pearson validates all of the hard work our team has put in over the past few years to build a successful company.

Pearson was also attracted to Certiport because of our intense focus on customer service, which we will continue to provide as we operate independently with oversight from Pearson VUE. Our clients will also benefit from the expanded product offerings that will become available from our association with Pearson VUE.

Hello, I’m Ray Kelly, CEO of Certiport. I’m a firm believer in the power of technology-enabled education in raising people’s economic standing. I’ve also spent my career believing in and using technology to inform and even transform conversations. I’ve particularly learned to embrace social media and new technology tools as a way to engage in interesting dialog with individuals and groups all over the world.

For example, in October 2011, Governor Martin O’Malley of Maryland tweeted that Maryland planned to implement more cyber training and education. In response to Governor O’Malley’s tweet, I replied with a video about a fantastic success story of the use of industry certification at Queen Anne’s County High school in Maryland. He responded with a retweet and thus began an informational relationship as both Governor O’Malley and I learned from one another.

As an active voice in the training and certification industries I spend a lot of my personal time scouring the Web for news and information that relates to what we do here at Certiport, i.e. providing industry recognized certification and learning solutions to help individuals improve their productivity and marketability.

This year, Certiport has chosen to expand its reach and voice in the certification industry through an effort we have affectionately dubbed the Certiport Blog. It may be an unimaginative name, but I assure you, the content we share on this new digital platform will be both informative and entertaining, anything but boring.

We believe there are great things in store for the Certiport Blog, including insightful commentary and success stories from some of the best and brightest minds in certification, coming from both within and outside the Certiport team.
